Fatboy Slim and De La Soul will headline Sónar Reykjavík 2017 5429

While the international music festival Sónar Reykjavík may still be a relative newcomer being established in 2014, the headliners in 2017 will be familiar to anyone who has been listening for music over the past two decades: Fatboy Slim and De La Soul.

Fatboy Slim A.K.A Norman Quentin Cook, has won ten MTV Video Music Awards and two Brit Awards.

The three-day festival of electronic and advanced music will kick off on February 16th in Harpa music and concert hall by the old harbor in Reykjavík.

Among other international artists performing at Sónar Reykjavík 2017 are German electronic live show maestros Moderat, Ben KlockForest SwordsTommy GenesisHelena Hauff and BBC radio host presenter & B.Traits with more to be confirmed.
From the vibrant local scene, Sónar Reykjavik will stage three leading talents from the Iceland's mounting hip-hop scene Emmsjé GautiAron Can and Kött Grá Pje, acclaimed electro-indie-pop band FM BelfastSamarisSin FangGlowieØfjord and sxsxsx.

Following his epic show at Sónar Barcelona this summer Fatboy Slim headline the Sónar Reykjavík’s closing night at the SonarClub stage

The four stages of Sónar Reykjavík are SonarClub, SonarHall, the seated SonarComplex and Harpa's undeground car-park converted into the SonarLab night-club. Tickets can be purchased here and travel packages via Icelandair

Originally founded in Barcelona in 1994 Sónar has organized more than 50 events in many different parts of the world, in addition to the three-day annual festival in Spain in June.

This is will be the fourth Sónar Reykjavík festival. From 16-18 February 2017.
