Search and rescue units continue their search for missing tourist near Látrabjarg cliffs today. German tourist Christian Mathias Markus was reported missing by his family on Saturday.
The extensive search operation is being conducted by local rescue units, the Westfjord Police Department and the Icelandic Coast Guard’s helicopter rescue unit.
Christian was last seen leaving Hotel Breiðavík on September 18. He was travelling alone. His rental car was found deserted in the parking lot near Látrabjarg yesterday morning.
The police ask anyone who has information that may assist the search to contact Westfjords Police Department: 450- 3730, or to call 112.
