In addition to the ongoing road work on the Ring Road between Reykjavík and South Iceland the IRCA will be resurfacing part of the Ring Road in West Iceland today. Only one lane will be open between the town of Borgarnes and the road stop Baulan.

Traffic on the one lane which will remain open will be controlled with traffic lights, alternating between North- and South bound traffic. Travelers can expect to wait up to 5 minutes at the lights. The speed limit along the work zone has also been reduced.
The road work is expected to be done at 19:00 (7 pm) tonight, at which time traffic will return to normal. Travelers are told to expect significant delays.
