The number of flights through Keflavík International Airport in January increased by 17 percent, compared to the same period last year. According to travel website Túristi Easy Jet has become the largest carrier in Iceland, second to Icelandair, offering twice as many flights in January this year compared to the same month in 2014.
This is the first time since Wow Air’s inception in 2011 that the Icelandic carrier is not the country’s second largest.
