Metropolitan Police arrested a man at the BSÍ Bus Terminal in downtown Reykjavík early morning after he had made attempts to steal suitcases and luggage from travellers who were waiting at the terminal.

The man, who was visibly intoxicated, did not have any form of identification, and was unable to communicate with the Police. When the officers tried to talk to the man to get an explanation for his behavior, he failed to make any sense. According to Police the man just babbled nonsense. It was clear, however, that he was not an Icelander and could not speak Icelandic. It is not clear whether he is a foreign national who lives in Iceland or a foreign visitors.

The man was arrested after a short conversation with Police officers and taken to the station where he has been sleeping off his intoxication.
