A queque had formed outside the N1 tire shop in Reykjavík at 8 am this morning, reports Mbl.is.
In Iceland winter tires are officially mandatory on all vehicles from November 1 and until April 14. However, seeing winter has already arrived some drivers opted to put the snow tires on early.

Many had trouble getting to work this morning due to icy roads, especially in Kópavogur where, because of a mistake, road maintenance did not begin until after 8 am. Some accidents were reported, none were serious.
