Downtown Reykjavík music festival 1088

13. mar 2023 20:02

If sleeping in a tent over the Verslunarmannahelgi bank holiday weekend is not really your thing, Innipúkinn just might be. The title of the music festival is loosely translated as ‘couch potato’, and geared towards people who prefer staying in Reykjavík, i.e. ‘staying in’, rather than wanting to go camping in the potential rain.

Innipúkinn Festival is being held for the 13th time this year, and stretches from Friday to Sunday evening (August 1st-3rd) where bands will be playing at Húrra Bar and Gaukurinn Bar.

What makes Innipúkinn unique as a music festival is that it features only Icelandic artists for three-nights straight. If you’re ready to culturally emerge yourself in Icelandic music and entertainment while having the comfort of a real bed accessible every night when you’re ready for sleep, Innipúkinn is the festival for you. The line up includes Megas, Ólöf Arnalds, Grísalappalísa and Mr. Silla.
