Icelandic flight comparison site Dohop was nominated the 2014 “World's Leading Flight Comparison Website“ at the World Travel Awards Grand Final Gala Ceremony in Anguilla last night, beating Kayak and Skyscanner among others.
Dohop was founded in 2004 in Reykjavík as a simple flight search engine. You can search and match routes to find the best way to fly between two places and search for the best prices for those routes. Dohop also finds rental cars and hotel rooms.
World Travel Awards was established in 1993 to acknowledge, reward and celebrate excellence across all sectors of the tourism industry. In 2013, over 500,000 individual votes were cast by travel professionals and high-end tourism consumers.
