Doctors begin third round of series of strikes to press for higher pay 578

Icelandic doctors are once again striking to press for higher pay. This is the third round of a series of two day-long strikes to take place, reports the National Broadcasting Service.  

Five hours of negotiations with the government yesterday failed to make any progress. Negotiation talks will continue this afternoon. Þorbjörn Jónsson, the director of the Icelandic Medical Association, fears there is no end in sight as both sides remain apart on numerous issues.
