Negotiation talks between VR, Flóabandalagið, Landssamband íslenskra verslunarmanna, Stéttarfélag Vesturlands and Samtök atvinnulífsins are progressing nicely, according to the National Broadcasting Service.
The labour unions and Samtök atvinnulífsins, a service organisation for Icelandic businesses that negotiates agreements with unions on wages, are optimistic that they will reach a conclusion regarding wage disputes this week.
The deal proposes to raise the union’s minimum wage and to protect middle-income households.
