Designated stops reserved for passenger busses set up around Reykjavík's old centre 5050

7. maí 2016 11:20

Rules regarding bus travel in Reykjavík’s old city centre have been imposed. Designated stops reserved for passenger busses have been set up around the centre which will allow for easy pick up and drop off of passengers. The stops are clearly sign posted.

These areas are at:

  •  Tjörnin (The Pond)
  • Ráðhús (City Hall)

  • Ingólfstorg square

  • Vesturgata street

  • Harpa Concert Hall

  • Safnahús at Hverfisgata street

  • Kvosin

  • Traðarkot

  • Hnitbjörg

  • Hallgrímskirkja  church

  • Hlemmur bus stop

  • Höfðatorg in Borgartún

Increased bus travel in Reykjavík‘s old city centre has caused some minor friction between residents and tourism businesses. The small, winding streets make it challenging for coach drivers to get around and it is not always easy to find a place to stop or park.

Rútur,
