Actor Dennis Quaid will arrive in Reyðarfjörður, east Iceland, next month to film the second season of Sky Atlantic‘s wildly popular crime drama, Fortitude. Filming will begin in February and end in late April. According to the National Broadcasting Service, Quaid will play the role of Michael Lennox.
The seriese aired on 29 January last year and became a huge success. It‘s created and written by Simon Donald and is set in the fictonal Arctic settlement of Fortitude. The series was filmed in the UK and in the small fishing village of Reyðarfjörður, east Iceland.
British newspaper the Telegraph named east Iceland as one of 20 “must visit” destinations for 2016, encouraging guests to travel to less visited parts of Iceland.
