Actor Dennis Quaid reportedly bought his wife a watch from Icelandic watch manufacturer JS Watch co. for Valentine’s Day. The actor is currently in Iceland filming the second season of Sky Atlantic’s hit series Fortitude.
According to Vísir, Dennis purchased a watch from the Frisland 1941 collection, created in 2011 to honour the 70 year history of Reykjavík airport. The airport was constructed by the British army during WWII. Dennis, who has a pilot’s license, was doubtlessly fascinated by the watches pilot style design.
JS Watch co. is the first and only watch manufacturer in Iceland. Its wristwatches are designed and hand-made in the company’s studio in Reykjavík. Dennis is far from the first celebrity to purchase a timepiece from the company; Yoko Ono gifted her son, Sean Lennon, with a watch from JS in 2010.
