Delta Air Lines has announced that it’s extending its nonstop flight between New York and Iceland to a year round service. This coming winter Delta will offer four flights a week between New York-JFK and Keflavík International Airport.
Delta has been connecting Iceland and the United States for five consecutive years during the peak summer months but this year the U.S. airline began its daily nonstop service on February 12. An eighth frequency will be added on May 29, with Delta offering two flights on Sundays for more than three months.
On 26 May Delta will add a daily route between Reykjavík and Minneapolis/St. Paul. The route is scheduled to run through 6 September.
In total Delta will provide 15 weekly flights during the summer from Iceland to the United States, all operated in conjunction with Air France KLM.
All flights will be operated by a Boeing 757-200 aircraft.
