A young local art student, Almar Atlason (23) locked himself inside a glass box yesterday, wowing to spend an entire week in the box, streaming the entire event live. Almar entered the box as he came into this world, naked, but brought with him some food and water, as well as toilet paper.

But while Almar brought no items with him into the box he has accepted donations from concerned people. The local news site visir.is reports that the glass box is quickly “filling up with all kinds of stuff,” adding that soon “there will probably be no room for the artist.” According to the local newspaper Morgunblaðið an old copy of a local erotic magazine a deck of cards as well as a box of snus are among the things which people have decided to donate to the artist.
Almar claims the goa of the project is to “get people to think”. What exactly people are supposed to think, or what he himself is thinking, is unclear, as Almar took a wow of silence while inside the box.
