Dagur Kári’s film Virgin Mountain received three awards at the Tribeca Film Festival 2752

Dagur Kári’s film Virgin Mountain (original title Fúsi) received three awards at this year’s Tribeca Film Festival.

The film won best world narrative, best actor award and best screenplay.

The jury, composed of Paul Attanasio, Sophie Barthes, Whoopi Goldberg, Dylan McDermott and Burr Steers, said the film had captured their hearts with its “mixture of humour and pathos”.

The film was written and directed by Dagur Kári Pétursson and stars Gunnar Jónsson as the title character Fúsi.
