US retail giant Costco, which plans to open a warehouse store in Garðabær, a suburb of Reykjavík, has begun hiring staff. The store is searching for employees for nine departments, everything from bakery staff to the tire department. A total of 160 positions need to be filled. The local news site Vísir reports that the store expects that in three years the total number of employees will have reached 250.
