According to the Icelandic Met Office, a prevailing northerly gale will continue until Saturday. However, it is likely to warm up on Sunday.

Cool weather is to be expected in the North and Northeast today with some wintry showers and snowfall. It will be a fine day in the South, with plenty of sunshine and cool winds. The Southeast may experience some rain tomorrow, Thursday.

Maximum temperature 11 degrees Celsius (52 Fahrenheit) in southern regions.
