Club Monaco teases upcoming collaboration with Icelandic designer on Instagram 108

Icelandic fashion designer Magnea Einarsdóttir has created an exclusive capsule collection for Club Monaco, a clothing retailer owned by Polo Ralph Lauren that operates more than 140 stores worldwide.

Club Monaco’s design team travelled to Iceland to work with the Reykjavík-based knitwear designer on the collection, which includes jumpers and accessories inspired by Icelandic landscapes and textiles.

Magnea studied design at Parsons Paris and Central St. Martins in London before returning to Iceland and establishing her eponymous brand in 2012. According to Magnea, Club Monaco’s head knitwear designer contacted her two years ago and offered her a chance to design a capsule collection for the brand, which is set to hit stores soon.

Over the past week Club Monaco has used Instagram to introduce Magnea and the upcoming collaboration. 

 

Our design team traveled to Iceland to work side by side with Magnea Einarsdóttir on the exclusive @m_a_g_n_e_a capsule collection. Having attended Parsons Paris and Central St. Martin’s in London, Magnea launched her brand in 2012. Her aim? To use traditional methods in an unseen way.
