City roads closed Saturday due to Colour Run and cycling race 2053

The streets of down-town Reykjavík will be filled with colourful runners and speedy cyclists on Saturday when Iceland’s first Colour Run and the 3rd KexReið cycling race take place. Many roads in the city centre will be shut to traffic during that time.

The Colour Run takes place between 10am and 2pm and will take runners around Tjörnin (the Pond) and Harpa Concert Hall. Tickets to the popular event sold out in four days in December.

The KexReið cycling race takes place between 2pm and 6 pm. Hverfisgata and Skúlagata will be closed to traffic during that time. (closed streets can be seen on the map).
