Improv Ísland, Iceland’s first and only improve group, will put on bi-weekly shows in English this summer. Starting this month, foreign guests can enjoy the wildly popular show at Bar Húrra in downtown Reykjavík.
The sell-out show has been praised by critics and theatre-goers.
The comedy is divided into segments, including the musical form and the “Actor’s Nightmare” – a scene where a trained actor will reside his or her lines from a script, while the other actor must quickly reply to create a scene. Apart from the “Actor’s Nightmare” all the stories are created from suggestions from the audience.
