Travel conditions in Northwest Iceland are quite challenging today due to the brutal wind in the area. The Icelandic Met Office (IMO) reports a steady wind of more than 20 m/s (45mph) in the area and bursts up to 40 m/s (90 mph). According to IMO the storm is expected to rage throughout the day.
