The CEO of Harpa Concert Hall has announced that she will take a pay cut to quell anger over her previous 20% pay increase, awarded at the same time as the customer representatives of Harpa were forced to take a pay cut. The local newspaper Stundin reports that the pay of Svanhildur Konráðsdóttir will drom from 1.5 million ISK per month (175,000 USD/148,000 EUR annually) to 1.3 million ISK per month (151,000 USD/128,000 EUR annually).

The pay cut will be retroactive, thus canceling out the previous increase which had caused the anger.
