The English celebrity chef Jamie Oliver spent the weekend in Iceland, visiting some of the popular tourist destinations and taking in the sights, the local news site visir.is reports. And judging by Jamie’s Facebook feed he is having a great time! In between posts about healthy sweet potato muffins with chilli, cheese and seeds (which Jamie assures us are delicious) he has shared photographs from his vacation in Iceland.
Jamie and his wife managed to catch the Northern Lights, as well as a frozen Gullfoss waterfall, “Me and jools [Jamie’s wife] Loved it… very beautiful out there and a really nice experience…big love Jamie X X xx”. Jamie’s fans and friends on Facebook seem equally impressed, with hundreds of shares and comments and more than 46,000 likes.

Jamie's photograph of Gullfoss also reminds us that it's not necessary to walk right up to the waterfall, risking your life on the dangerous paths, which are covered in ice at this time of year, to capture truly breathtaking views of the waterfall!
