Canadian family spends 5 days on an Icelandic farm for a TV show 464

Bjarteyjarsandur farm is beautifully situated between rolling hills and the seafront in the scenic Hvalfjörður fjord on the west coast of Iceland. Arnheiður Hjörleifsdóttir lives on the farm with her husband, Guðmundur Sigurjónsson, her parents-in-law, and a third family of cousins.

Last autumn a Canadian family spent five days on the farm with Arnheiður and Guðmundur as part of the television series Partir Autrement en Famille, produced for TV5.

The family of four partook in daily chores on the farm, harvested mussels and joined in on the annual sheep round up.

The episode is now available online and while it is in French, those who don’t speak the language are likely to enjoy the footage from the scenic Hvalfjörður and of the sheep round up.
