Coach travel in Reykjavík’s old city centre has been banned, according to mayor Dagur B. Eggertsson. The narrow streets in Reykjavík’s older neighbourhoods make coach traffic in the area quite challenging and now only busses that accept fewer than 20 passengers will be allowed to navigate the small streets.

The city council is also looking to increase designated drop-off spots (indicated in the video below) and prohibiting passenger pick-up and/or drop-off anywhere other than at those spots for safety and security reasons.
