A British tourist crawled for two hours down a mountain after he broke his femur during a run on Seljalandsheiði in South Iceland on Sunday evening. The man, who is in his twenties, was only dressed in shorts and t-shirt and was cold when found by other tourists, according to local police.
National Broadcasting Service RUV reports that the man had gone for a run alone on Seljalandsheiði above popular tourist attraction Seljalandsfoss waterfall yesterday. Local police said the man stumbled and broke his femur. He then crawled for two hours until he managed to catch the attention of other tourists around a hundred meters from Seljaland farm.
The tourists who came to the man's aid managed to contact emergency services and the injured man was transported to a hospital in Reykjavík with an ambulance.
