Britis critics are thrilled about Icelandic crime-drama Trapped (Ófærð), branding the television series “toe-tinglingly good”.

Trapped quickly gained international popularity after having been picked up by BBC Four, RTÉ2, France Télévisions, and German broadcaster ZDF. Around 5 million people in France tuned in to watch the first episode of Trapped when it aired on France Télévisions.

Telegraph’s critic describes Trapped as a “superb and suspense-laden 10-part drama”. The series was so absorbing, he says, that within five minutes he’d forgotten it was subtitled.

The Guardian claims to be “happily Trapped”, while the Observer’s Euan Ferguson tweeted “Trapped is seriously toe-tinglingly, good.”
