The young British adventurers who were airlifted to safety on Tuesday have received a number of death threats online. In a post on their Twitter feed the group announces that these threats have been handed over to the proper authorities who will proceed accordingly.

In a separate Tweet the group reminds anyone who is disappointed with their adventure to remain polite.

Some of the on-line criticism of the group has certainly gone too far. One YouTube user left a poorly spelled expletive laden rant, on their video “The Coldest Crossing Pilot”, demanding the group never return to Iceland: “Dont come here again! We dont need that shit up hera. Fkn dummis that you are”
Another user seemed to threaten their lives: “What you deserve is death”.
