Breaking Bad star blown away by Iceland 3478

Aaron Paul, who played Jesse Pinkman in the HBO series Breaking Bad, praises Iceland on his Instagram page. Under an photograph of an otherworldly or dream-like landscape Paul tells how he was forever changed by a visit to Iceland “The people, the landscapes, the waterfalls and everything in between just blew my mind.” Paul adds that he felt like he had been “transported to another planet”, experiencing “a constant state of wonder.”

Paul does not give a location for where the photograph was taken, but it appears to be of Þórsmörk mountain ridge, north of the glacier Eyjafjallajökull in Southern Iceland, as seen from the south coming down Fimmvörðuháls hiking trail and Morinsheiði heath. The river in the valley in the middle of the photograph is Krossá river, and right in front of the hiker, which we assume is Paul, is the small glacier of Tindafjallajökull.

It is difficult not to agree with Paul. This view truly is like something out of another world.

Hello you beautiful people. So, I have a little something for you. I love to travel. I am addicted to it. What about you? Why do we travel? For me, I need to see this beautiful orb we are spinning on. Meet the people that share this planet with myself. Different cultures. Different settings. Different foods. We are all special. We are all so lucky. We need to embrace adventure and run towards it. I went to Iceland years ago and and was forever changed. The people, the landscapes, the waterfalls and everything in between just blew my mind. It felt like I was transported to another planet and I was in a constant state of wonder. The moment I left I knew I had to go straight back. I ended up going back a couple months later because of the impact it had on me. This is exactly #whyiwander. I want to hear about your dream destination. Where do you want to go? Why? Make a new post with your story and a pic of you traveling. Tag #whyiwander and @marriotthotels and you might win a trip to that place! How beautiful is that. But you gotta post it before 5PM est today (9/10/15). #seetheworld #contest
