Björk has released her new album, Vulnicura, nearly two months earlier than planned, after it was leaked online. The album’s release was originally timed to coincide with an exhibition at MoMA in New York on March 7.
This is Björk’s first album in four years. She last released Biophilia in October 2011.

The artist announced the release on social media and explained that half of the album was written before a break up and half of it after. She also said she hoped the “songs could be a help, a crutch to others and prove how biological” the process of heartbreak is.
