The nominations for the 2016 Grammy Awards were announced this week. Icelandic musicians Björk Guðmundsdóttir, Jóhann Jóhannsson and Of Monsters and Men (OMAM) have been nominated for the award.
Björk’s Vulnicura is nominated for Best Alternative Music Album of the year, Jóhann is nominated for Best Score Soundtrack for Visual Media for Theory of Everything and OMAM in the Boxed or Special Limited Edition Package category for the deluxe box set of their second album Beneath The Skin.
Jóhann won his first Golden Globe last year for Best Original Score for the same film.
This is the 14th time Björk is nominated for a Grammy.
