Björk and John Grant at this year’s Iceland Airwaves music festival 2596

Björk and John Grant will be among performers at this year’s music festival Iceland Airwaves. John Grant will be accompanied by the Icelandic Symphony Orchestra.

Organizers announced today the second batch of artists and bands that will perform at the festival, taking place in Reykjavík, November 4th to 8th.

As when the first list was announced, the artists’ names were delivered in a video message, this time starring Hrafnkell Örn Guðjónsson, the drummer of local band Agent Fresco, that will perform at the festival.  

Magnús Leifsson, directs the video. His video for band Úlfur Úlfur was voted Iceland’s best music video in 2014.

Among foreign acts at Iceland Airwaves 2015 are Hinds, Father John Misty, Ariel Pink, East India Youth while local acts include GusGus, Bubbi and Dimma, Amabadaba and Emmsjé Gauti.
