Music festival Iceland Airwaves has announced that Björk will perform an exclusive show at this year's festival. The concert is on Saturday 5 November in Eldborg, the largest (and most beautiful) auditorium of Harpa music and conference hall in Reykjavík.

Björk will be backed by Aurora Orchestra, a 26-strong band of bows, wood and catgut and the main focus is expected to be on songs from her 2015 album Vulnicura. The artist announced the release of the album on social media explaining that half of the songs were written before her break up with Amrican artist Matthew Barney and half of it after. She also said she hoped the “songs could be a help, a crutch to others and prove how biological” the process of heartbreak is.
