The two have reportedly visited Gullfoss and the Vestmannaeyjar Islands, and according to news accounts the two also visited the Blue Lagoon after it was closed to regular visitors, for an exclusive midnight swim.
The Gates’ arrived in Iceland last week and toured South Iceland on Friday. Among they sights was Gullfoss. On Friday night they visited Friðheimar farm by the Reykholt village, to enjoy a private horse show. On Saturday the two visited The Vestmannaeyjar Islands, off the south coast of Iceland, touring the islands by boat. According to local news outlet visir.is the couple then rented the Blue Lagoon for a private swim over the weekend.
According to Visir Bill and Melinda Gates are staying in a cottage called The Trophy Lodge in Southern Icealnd. The cottage, which has a wine cellar, a helipad and accommodates 20 people in luxury rooms, has been popular among foreign millionaires who have visited Iceland. In December Jay-Z and Beyoncé stayed at the lodge.
