Dipping into the natural geothermal pools of Reykjadalur Valley
Reykjadalur Valley is one of the most popular and  beautiful hiking area in and around the town of Hveragerði. Hot springs and colourful areas full of geothermal activity help define the beautiful landscape that is present in this part of Iceland. Located only 30 minutes from iceland's capital, the hiking trails starts in a parking lot just above Hveragerði town and continues around the historic Mt. Iceland’s first “equestrian theatre” is open for business. Icelandic horses are the stars of the show, says the show director, Guðmar Þór Pétursson. The centre also features a restaurant and designer shop. Located in Selfoss, Iceland's only horse park provides the opportunity to dine on fresh Icelandic food while also getting to know our unique breed of horse.  This is a fun, entertaining and educational place for the whole family to visit all year round. Free admission for children under 12 years, accompanied by parents.

Hekluhestar Riding Tours
After experiencing the magesty of Iceland's first equestrian theatre, Fákasel Horse Park, try your hand in actually riding a horse at Hekluhestar Riding Tours. Located in Hella, a town just east of Reykjavik, Hekluhestar offers riding tours through lavafields and volcanic ash desert and other impressive scenery close to the famous volcano, Hekla.The tours also continue to Landmannalaugar a geothermal area with a breathtaking landscape of mountains, hot springs and lava fields. Daily tours usually last 4-7 hours.
