Boat exhibition in Siglufjörður
Guðbjörg Ringsted has opened an exhibition in the Herring Era Museum in the beautiful town of Siglufjörður. On display are toy ships and boats from her private collection.
The Herring Era Museum is a recreation of a typical herring factory from the 1930‘s and consists of three buildings, each showing a different aspect of the herring industry, and is also well worth a visit.

Art in Akureyri
Artist Tryggvi Þórhallsson opens his exhibition Undir háum himni in Gallery Mjólkurbúðin in the art ravine in Akureyri on Saturday, July 5th. The exhibition features beautiful landscape paintings.
The exhibition opens at 3pm.

“A stroll through Listagil, which translates to the Art Ravine, is highly recommended. There you’ll find interesting museums and, of course, Akureyri Church, designed by State Architect Guðjón Samúelsson.”

90‘s nostalgia
The Icelandic band Todmobile, which was wildly popular in the 90‘s, will perform in Græni Hatturinn in Akureyri  on Friday July 11th. The concert begins at 10pm.
