Free concert
A concert takes place in Hof Cultural Centre in Akureyri tomorrow, Saturday July 26th. Musicians on board a Kikrer Holidays cruise ship will jump ship for one night and perform in Hof. The concert begins at 6 pm and entrance is free of charge. The musicians will perform work by Schumann, Weber and Debussy, to name a few.
Visit the circus
The only circus in Iceland will be performing in Akureyri until August 2nd. Sirkus Íslands offers three different shows; “Heima er best” is a family show, “S.I.R.K.U.S.” is aimed at the youngest generation and then there is “Skinnsemi”, a show for adults only.

Watch the midnight sun

Town festival in Húsavík
Mærudagar is the name of an annual town festival taking place in Húsavík, North Iceland. Among the many activities taking place all over town during the weekend are parades, jumping castles for the kids, concerts and various exhibitions.
Stuffed birds and polar bears
The Museum of Natural History in Ólafsfjörður, North Iceland, is well worth a visit. The museum boasts of a great collection of specimens and artifacts and includes a collection of eggs, stuffed birds, an imitation of a fox‘s lair and a stuffed polar bear.
The museum is open from June 1st until August 31st between 2 pm and 5 pm. Closed on Mondays.
