Taste local micro beer
“I recommend you pay a visit to the brewery and local pub, Bjórsetur Íslands, and go horseback riding and learn a bit about the history of the Icelandic horse at Sögusetur Íslenska hestsins.”
Recommended by Hafdís Arnardóttir, a student of rural tourism and event management at Hólar University, North Iceland.
Good eats
“Akureyri town is full of wonderful cafés and bars. There’s a lovely new café located in the Botanic Garden and there are many more in the city centre.”
Recommended by Sigurður Karl Jóhannsson, owner of restaurants Strikið and Bryggjan
