Oktoberfest is celebrated this weekend, September 11. -13. The annual event, organized by the National University‘s Student Association, takes place in Vatnsmýri moorland, across from the University‘s main building. As the name suggests the popular event is modelled after the original funfair in Munich.
Around twenty bands will perform during the festival, including Mammút, Vök, Ojba Rasta, Páll Óskar, Jón Jónsson and Dikta.
