A total eclipse of the moon is called a blood moon as the color of the moon turns blood red during the eclise. Last night a lunar eclipse was visible from Iceland, and despite some concern the sky would be too cloudy to observe the lunar eclipse it could be observed in most parts of Iceland. The best photograph of the event is probably this mosaic created by local photographer Sævar Helgi Bragason.
