Last night an accident occurred in the south of Iceland, near Þingvallavegur. A driver hit a sheep on the road and according to the police in Selfoss it has been a frequent occurrence lately. Often, drivers will hit the lambs on the roads and leave them in excruciating pain.

Sheep are allowed to roam free in these areas, so be please exercise caution while driving in Iceland’s countryside to ensure a pleasant and enjoyable stay.
