The magma filled extravaganza taking place at Holuhraun Lava Fields is now on-display for the whole world to see. Tourists have been flocking to the explosive, yet relatively safe, area around Bárðarbunga volcano system in an attempt to see the explosion live.

Discover the World, a travel agency in the UK, is offering tours of the Holuhraun Lava fields through their volcano hotline. You can take a Super Jeep tour around the area or a sightseeing flight from Reykjavik to view the area around the eruption.

A second eruption that started on August 31st continues to spew lava out of a fissure around the Bárðarbunga volcano system. Fortunately, there is minimal ash from the eruption and the contained fissure makes it relatively safe for the tours to get within a reasonable distance from the volcanic activity.
