Bárðarbunga sub glacial volcano hit by 100 earthquakes in 48 hours 1967

Around 100 earthquakes have hit Bárðarbunga caldera since Wednesday. According to the Icelandic Met Office the strongest earthquake in the last 24 hours was magnitude 4.6 that struck at 12.40 (12.40pm) yesterday on the northern rim of the sub Vatnajökull glacier volcano.

Since yesterday morning six additional earthquakes exceeded magnitude 4 and another 15 were in the range of M3 to M4.
