One of the more interesting characters of Iceland's music scene, Barði Jóhannsson, has just rolled out a new single with his band Bang Gang.
Barði is a musician, composer and producer and is a sort of an island within the music industry in Iceland. His mixture of pop and electronic has made him quite big in France and around the rest of the world. Last year he co-founded the project Starwalker and released an album with Jean-Benoît Dunckel from French band Air.
In 2003 he formed a duo, Lady & Bird, and did an album with Dutch-Israeli singer and songwriter Keren Ann.
The new song, Out of Horizon, is the first single on what will be Bang Gang's fourth studio album. Previous albums are, You (2000), Something Wrong (2003) and Ghosts From the Past (2008).
