Award-winning film, Rams, sold to numerous Eastern European countries 2803

The Icelandic film “Rams” (Hrútar), which won the Un Certain Regard award at this year’s Cannes Film Festival, has been sold to numerous Eastern European countries after its screening at the Karlovy Vary Film Festival this week. Sales include countries such as Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, and Romania.

The drama tells of two brothers who live in a remote valley in North Iceland and haven’t spoken to each other in forty years. However, in order to save their beloved sheep and their prize-winning rams, the brothers are forced to team up and break their silence.

The film is shown with English subtitles in Háskólabíó cinema till the end of summer.
