The stoppage disrupted both domestic and international flights while in action and flights to the States and Canada have been delayed.

The Icelandic Aviation Association has scheduled another work stoppage for Wednesday, May 23rd, and vow to take escalatory measures should wage agreements not be reached by the end of the month.

Aviation workers agreed to the stoppage to press for higher pay. Agreement talks between the union and Isavia, The Icelandic Civil Aviation Administration, will take place again on Thursday. 

Icelandic aviation workers have resumed work after a five hour work stoppage which began at 4am and lasted until 9am.

The stoppage disrupted both domestic and international flights while in action and flights to the States and Canada have been delayed.
