13. mar 2023 19:59

Domestic and international flights to and from Iceland could be delayed on Wednesday because of the ongoing contract dispute between Iceland's Aviation Workers Association and The Icelandic Civil Aviation Administration (Isavia), the company that handles the operation and development of all airports in Iceland.

If wage agreements have not been reached a work stoppage is to take place at every airport in Iceland, domestic and international between 4am and 9am on Wednesday April 23.

This would be the the second of three short strikes before the end of the month. The first was April 8 and the third is planned on Friday April 25. An all-out strike is scheduled for April 30th if the dispute has not been solved.
