At least four buses have either been blown off the road or lost control in icy conditions on the ring-road in South and South East Iceland this morning, the local news site visir.is reports. No serious injuries have been reported. The Icelandic Road and Coastal Authority has closed off a stretch of the ring-road in South East Iceland, warning that the entire road from the town of Vík to the town of Höfn is hazardous.

Police in South Iceland reports that at 10:39 a bus driving near the farm of Freysnes in the foothills of Öræfajökull glacier skidded off the road. A local search and rescue unit was dispatched to help tow the bus back onto the road and help the passengers. No injuries were reported.
Shortly after this, at 10:58 police reported that another bus was involved in a rollover near the river Klifandi, west of the town of Vík. 18 passengers were in the bus, none of whic suffered any injuries.
According to information from Ice-SAR, the Icelandic Association for Search and Rescue, three other buses lost control due to severe weather and difficult driving conditions on the ring road west of Vík. It is currently not known how many passengers were involved in these accidents, but no injuries have been reported.
