A new exhibition opens in the Skaftfell gallery in the gorgeous village of Seyðisfjörður, East Iceland, on Saturday, 31st of October. The exhibition features work by two Icelandic artists, Eyborg Guðmundsdóttir (1924-1977) and Eygló Harðardóttir (born 1964), and is curated by Gavin Morrisson.
The two artists are from different generations, but both created abstract art; Eyborg predominately made paintings, while Eygló’s work is mostly sculptural.
The exhibition will run until 14th of February.
Skaftfell gallery is located at Austurvegur 42, Seyðisfjörður, and is open from Wednesday until Friday between 2-6 pm. Admission is free.
